Kearney Area Habitat for Humanity...building homes in partnership with God's people in need.

Marshall Everitt

I grew up in Chappell, NE. Christian faith, family, service, and education were key values in our household. Growing up I worked in agriculture with my family and other farmers raising cow-calf pairs and various crops. I enjoyed athletics, academics, and FFA while in high school. I loved metals and woods classes, but my favorite courses were Spanish and German. I attended UNK from 2009-2014 studying Spanish and German Education. While studying Spanish in Lima, Peru through a UNK study abroad program, I met my wife Kathy. We both currently teach Spanish at Kearney High School. I officiate high school football and basketball as a hobby. Volunteering and serving others is important to me. Bringing others happiness brings me happiness. I enjoy working with my hands, so Habitat seemed like the perfect place. With a little encouragement from Sr. Patty Rinn, I started volunteering in the late summer, and am excited to continue to contribute to this organization.
