Fairmont, Nebraska is my hometown. After I graduated from high school I attended and graduated from UNK or known as Kearney State College during my college years. After graduating, I taught business education in Palmer, Nebraska for four years and then spent 34 years teaching business/computer technology at Horizon Middle School in Kearney. My husband, Steve, and I have four children and two grandsons. We have a son on each of the coasts, a daughter who teaches at UNK, and a son who is finishing his public school education in May. This is not my first experience volunteering for Habitat as I was on the Family Selection Committee over 25 years ago. I am looking forward to new experiences as I start my tenure on the board.
